The final day of the NSW Combined High School Rugby State Championships was cancelled today due to heavy rain and dangerous conditions.
The three day competition brought together 12 teams from across the state and showcased the most elite players from Department of Education Public schools.
The final games that were to be played today were between Sydney South West and Western for the Plate final, Sydney East and Central Coast for the Cup final, and Hunter versus Sydney West for the Shield final.
Due to the cancellation, Hunter and Sydney West rugby teams will be named the joint winners of the championships.
The South Coast team had four students from Kiama High School and came equal seventh with North West.
Ryan Hodgson from Kiama High School was also picked to play in the CHS Opens’ Rugby Union Team.
All sportsgrounds across the LGA are temporarily closed to protect their playing surfaces.
