Get your hands dirty at composting workshops

If you have ever wondered about delving into the world of composting or need a few tips on how to get your current compost bin, Kiama Council is delivering free workshops on all you need to know.

Even if you don't have a backyard, composting is something that any resident can do.

Council's workshop will help attendees learn the basics of successful composting at home.

Attendees will learn how to set up and use a compost bin, worm farm and Bokashi One composting system.

Each attending household will get to take one of these items home to continue their composting journey.

Attendance is free but the only catch is you must be a resident of the Kiama Municipality and pay a waste services fee through your annual rates.

All you need to bring is a small dish to share with your fellow composting enthusiasts and you must wear enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing for cold weather.

The workshops will be held at the Blue Haven Terralong Retirement Village and registration is compulsory - send an email to [email protected].

They will be held on:

Tuesday, 17 June 2025 | 09:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Saturday, 23 August 2025 | 01:00 PM - 04:00 PM

Tuesday, 11 November 2025 | 09:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Saturday, 07 March 2026 | 01:00 PM - 04:00 PM
