Gerringong's annual Christmas Parade sparkles again

The Gerringong Lions Club put on the much-loved Gerringong Christmas Parade a few days before Santa officially arrived.

The crowd-pleasing event, sponsored by Kiama Council and Gerringong Bowling Club, attracted a huge crowd with Fern Street lined four deep on either side from Blackwood St to Belinda St, cheering and waving to each float as they passed by.

Member for Gilmore Fiona Phillips, Kiama MP Katelin McInerney and Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald led the parade that consisted of 30 three "floats" representing a diversity of organisations and clubs of the local community and surrounds.

The Lions Christmas raffle was drawn at the conclusion of the parade with Roz Dalley-Calabine winning the Natural Necessity longboard first prize.

Second prize of a voucher from The Core Store was won by Ross Wraight.

Third prize - a voucher from Shellharbour Golf Club - was won by Anna Valliere and local car enthusiast Murray Alcock won a voucher from The Hill Bar and Restaurant.
