This November, Roam* Women Tours is hosting a special small-group adventure for women - Gems of Southeast Europe departing 21 November to 4 December 2026. 

With a maximum of 15 women travelling together, this journey is designed for connection, comfort and shared experiences that linger long after the suitcases are unpacked.

The journey begins in Budapest, one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals. You will be welcomed by Kelly from Roam* Women Tours and introduced to the spirit of the trip with culture, conversation and a fabulous welcome dinner.

Over the next two days Budapest reveals its charm. Wander the historic Buda Castle District stroll across the city’s iconic bridges and admire the magnificent Parliament building widely regarded as one of Europe’s most impressive landmarks. 

Christmas comes alive in Budapest and the St Stephen’s Basilica Christmas Market is a highlight. Regularly ranked among Europe’s best it offers handcrafted gifts, festive treats and a holiday atmosphere that feels wonderfully nostalgic.

On day 3 it is time to unpack once and relax as we board an AmaWaterways ship for the festive Gems of Southeast Europe Danube cruise. 

Life onboard is effortless and indulgent with all meals included featuring seasonal locally sourced ingredients. Regional wines and beers are served with lunch and dinner, alongside a daily Sip and Sail cocktail hour.

In Serbia, vibrant Belgrade awaits with visits to the Nikola Tesla Museum Kalemegdan Fortress and the striking St Sava Cathedral. 

One of the most awe-inspiring moments follows while cruising through the Iron Gates, where towering cliffs and ancient history rise dramatically on either side of the Danube.

In Bulgaria, journey through medieval fortresses, local homes, enjoy traditional food demonstrations and charming towns, rich in folklore and festive traditions.

After the cruise, the journey continues into Romania with visits to Transylvania’s fairytale towns including Brașov Peleș Castle and Bran Castle. Think cobblestone streets, Gothic churches and glowing Christmas markets.

The final days are spent in Bucharest, with guided tours, café hopping, boutique shopping and a celebratory farewell dinner. The journey concludes on day fourteen, filled with laughter, shared stories and unforgettable memories.
