What a season the Gerringong Breakers are having.
Under 15 Division 3 Grand Finalists
In their first year in the District League the Breakers took out the Club Championship, with First Grade finishing fifth, Second Grade finishing first and the Youth Grade coming second. They have since played in their respective semi finals.
First Grade defeated Berkely 2-0, then last weekend beat Oak Flats 4-2 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra time. They now progress to the final against Fernhill, the winner of which will go to the Grand final at WIN Stadium on Saturday 16th September.
The over 30 Women’s Champions
The Second Grade having finished on top of the table had the first weekend off and then last weekend comfortably took care of University 4-0 to go straight into the Grand Final.
Under 12 Division 2 Grand Finalists
Youth Grade, won their semi final 4-2 against Balgownie and have advanced to the Final next weekend against Fernhill, the winner going into the Grand Final.
Breakers Second Grade Grand Finalists 16 th Sept
Meanwhile, the weekend before last the Womens’ Over 30 side won their Grand Final 1-0, with a goal in the last ten minutes against Jamberoo, a fantastic reward for an enthusiastic and determined group of women . They are outstanding representatives of the Breakers Club.
Not to be outdone the mens’ Division 3 Community League team defeated Coledale 4-2 on penalties, after a hard fought 0-0 draw during normal and extra time, to win their Grand Final.

Football South Coast has allocated twelve junior Grand Finals to Gerry Emery Oval on Saturday 9th September and Sunday 10th September. This is recognition by Football South Coast for the way the club has been managed over the past 5 years since entering the Association.
