Lake Illawarra Police are investigating after an elderly man’s body was discovered near Kiama rock pool at Pheasant Point on Friday morning. 

Emergency services were called to the area just to the north of the black beach rock pool around 8.30am. 

Shoalhaven Street emergency vehicles and rescuers in attendance

Police are yet to announce details about the man’s death. 

The SES and NSW ambulance crews also responded to the incident. 

The man was pronounced dead and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
